I wish it worked. It looks really nice for a couple seconds, then crashes.
First, this application isnt entirely free. You can only remove files associated with the program you wish to delete. Youll need to upgrade to the Pro version if you want to remove the program as well as its associated files. Not a big deal thought because you can always manually delete the app yourself. Still, I wish the developers had been upfront with this bit of information. App Cleaner does a very good job of removing applications and all the little preference and configuration files that are buried deep within the filesystem. Its even better at this than TrashMe from Jibapps, which is what I have been using for years now. However, TrashMe has the advantage of being able to do things other than just deleting apps. Overall, I consider App Cleaner to be a decent application removal tool with a very nice UI. If youre looking for nothing more than a way to easily delete apps then this will fit your needs nicely. Just make sure you spend the $3.99 and upgrade to the Pro version!
My Mini i7 was overheating with fans spinning during photo and video editing. It got hot even during system sleep! I checked Console.app and found Google Updater was literally “calling home” thousands of times per minute. As a scrolled throug system activities it was obvious Google’s spyware had run amuck and was bogging down my Mac something terrible. I tried terminal commands in an attempt to nix Google Update but to no avail: Google updates it’s code automatically, keeping one step ahead of everybody. So the terminal command that worked last week no longer did a thing… Enter AppCleaner. A couple clicks and Google Updater was gone for good, nixing 300MB of spyware! Yes, AppCleaner is demo only until you pay $3.99 but is the best software investment I’ve made in a long time. I’m amazed some reviewers think this app should be free. I’m glad I was able to help support the app so gets updated regularly. Now my Mini sleeps cool as a cucumber and the fans no longer kick up!
It really finds all the files that apps leaves behinds and lets you delete them. Great app.
Great app and fast working. Only weakness that I see is that it often isn’t able to remove all files (i.e. program file in Applications folder). But, it does allow you to connect to those folders to remove the files manually.
I must be doing something wrong because only a few of my applications are showing up. I wonder how I get them all to show up. Any suggestions?
SUPPRISING,VERY USEFUL AND HANDY.
usefull to delete app completely! easy to use for your mac

I downloaded a Coins App from the App Store a month ago for my parent’s coin collection, and that night spent less than an hour exploring it’s capabilites. I added ONE coin to my list of coins, with a picture. Today, I checked out App Cleaner, which I had forgotten I had also downloaded recently. I ran App Cleaner, and it found that the Coin App had created a 31 GB folder in my User/Library/Containers folder. Most of that space was from two .photoslibrary files it created for some reason. Kodos to App Cleaner!. I was down to 15 GB on my SSD until the I discovered that file through App Cleaner.
This app works alright. It helped me find those leftovers that remained on my Mac after I removed certain apps. Good job! But it’s kinda slow, probably I got too much remains on my Mac.
